Departure for the Betsileo region in minibus. Drive
through Imerina highlands, rice fields and different
plantations. Forests of pine-trees, eucalyptus,
tapia, etc.

- ANDRAMBOVATO - FIANARANTSOA
Excursion on a Micheline – a « world unique
» train-towards the waterfall of Andrambovato,
few kilometers from the hotel. Discover a Tanala village
as well as various endemic species of plants.
Return to Lac-hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
D3 : FIANARANTSOA
- RANOMAFANA
Breakfast. Departure for Ranomafana. Visit to the
National Park and its rain forest where the “
Golden Bamboo Lemur” – a specy with
a golden fur-was discovered in 1986.

Visit to the small thermal station of Ranomafana
(meaning “hot water”). A natural hot
water swimming-pool. Continuation of the excursion
along the Namorona River to reach the beautiful
Riana waterfall.

- AMBALAVAO - FIANARANTSOA
Breakfast. Departure for Ambalavao, a town well-known
for its brick-made houses – a particularity
of the Highlands -, its Antaimoro paper workshop
